Welcome to those of you who decided to take us up on our ab and squat challenge for the month! If you’re wondering what the heck we’re talking about wander over to our March Monthly Update blog post and scroll to the bottom…it’ll catch you up. So we’re adding a new post about it (hopefully) each day this month. The idea is that we’re going to share our immediate thoughts and reactions (or whining and complaints) each day as we progress through March. Lydia is in italics, Annie is regular font. Okay, day 2 done. Sit ups…good, crunches…good, squats…I hate them so hard!! Why can’t I do a decent squat for the life of me? I’m pretty sure my form is all wrong and I’m exercising some obscure muscle group (like my big toe) as opposed to what actually needs to be worked…the old rear end. Oh well, I’m going to use this month as an opportunity to perfect the squat. Tomorrow I’m going to try using a mirror to see if I can help my technique out a little. Fingers crossed. Until then, I found these super post run/workout stretches over at littlefitbella. Definitely worth checking out!!
Ok. Day 2. I convinced my husband to go the the gym with me…which meant we sat in the hot tub. 😬 This was obviously super fun but cut into my squat/ab time. However, I did manage to get ‘er done before dinner. The squats felt good for the majority of them but they did get more difficult toward the end, which makes me very nervous about day 30.
I found this awesome Medicine Medicine Ball Ab workout at Get Healthy U. I’ve done the last few days, so the sit ups and crunches have felt more challenging, but I’m really hoping my abs come out of hiding soon!
