Welcome to those of you who decided to take us up on our ab and squat challenge for the month! If you’re wondering what the heck we’re talking about wander over to our March Monthly Update blog post and scroll to the bottom…it’ll catch you up. So we’re adding a new post about it (hopefully) each day this month. The idea is that we’re going to share our immediate thoughts and reactions (or whining and complaints) each day as we progress through March. Lydia is in italics, Annie is regular font. Just hoping we survive it!
Tomorrow morning Lydia and I have a St. Paddy’s Day 10k we’re running. Naturally I saved my squats until tonight. This may not have been my brightest idea. If those 45 squats come back to bite me in the morning…well…maybe I’ll end up crawling to the finish. Abs are feeling good! I’m actually enjoying the increased numbers of them, which is weird. Still can’t find them for the life of me, but they are complaining so I’ll take that as a positive sign. On the whole, a successful 16th day. Ugh, now for that race in the morning.
“That looks easy…” said my six year old daughter watching me squat. Then with the follow up question, “is that making you sweaty?” Really, child! It actually wasn’t so bad. I was feeling really good all the way up until just the last few squats and the sit-ups felt good as well. I’m excited for our 10k tomorrow! Especially for the mental strength my tight booty and soon-to-be revealed six pack abs will most definitely provide.
